Ezgi Dağlı (b. 1997, Famagusta, Cyprus) is a contemporary abstract artist whose practice explores the emotive and symbolic capacities of painting. She earned her BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Birmingham School of Art (UK) in 2018, and later deepened her visual research in Rome, Italy. Currently based in Cyprus, she balances her studio practice with teaching.

Working within the language of abstraction, Dağlı navigates the liminal space between sensation and form. Her paintings evoke emotional states through a dynamic interplay of visceral gestures, subtle gradients, and shifting organic structures. Recurring visual elements—fractured grids, cellular forms, spirals, and voids—echo themes of memory, transformation, and the body’s relationship to psychological and physical landscapes. Colour functions as a central and intentional force in her work, moving between the electric and the melancholic.

In addition to her personal practice, Dağlı collaborates with individuals, interior designers, and construction or furniture companies on commissioned pieces—creating site-specific artworks that complement architectural and design environments. This parallel practice bridges fine art and spatial experience, allowing her abstract language to enter both private and public settings.

Dağlı's paintings are less about fixed meaning and more about sensation. Her canvases invite introspection, encouraging viewers to engage symbolically and emotionally—to feel rather than read. The viewers are asked to confront their own emotional and perceptual responses. Through this approach, her practice resists finality, offering space for multiplicity, emergence, and discovery.
